So we read the book My Heart is Like a Zoo and watched the trailer. Then we used a lot of hearts and made an animal. Finally we had to think of a sentence that used our animal and a descriptive word describing our animal. SO cute and accessible for all my budding artists!

Those are some fantastic animals. I saw that book at the San Diego zoo this fall and almost bought it (it was super overpriced there... but soooo hard to resist.) What a great activity for your kids. They did such a great job.

I love your animal pictures and sentences...I also am reading the Spellman series-hilarious! Have you tried reading the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich? It's super funny, too.
