Whole Brain Teaching ?

Whole Brain Teaching....I have been watching a lot of videos and am learning a whole bunch of great ideas for implementing it.  Here is my question for those of you already in the midst of it....is it loud?  Many of the videos have cheering and responding with the whole class actively repeating.  How does this not bother the rest of the rooms around you?  Thoughts...GO!

  1. Great question :) I'm in a portable so that isn't a concern for me- however...if you're connected to another room or teach in a pod without doors, you may want to "train" your kiddos to respond with appropriate volume. The great thing about many WBT chants is that the kids respond the way you prompt {class, yes} so if you whisper it, they should as well.

  2. I'm just starting to learn about WBT. I've tried some of the attention getters and they don't get too loud. I've implemented the scoreboard and haven't had an issue there either. I

  3. WBT can be loud, but it is you who controls the volume. I have had great success with the Super Improver Board, Mirror and the Because Clapper. Give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. Maria

  4. I guess that the classrooms around me are probably used to my noise LOL! By the way, thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. I would love to have you link up to my Blogs of Inspiration Page!
