Late Monday Made It Wayback Machine

Before I started blogging and before pinterest exploded, I found this adorable diy:
Normally diy never turns out as smoothly as the directions make it seem, but this one really did go as nicely as it could have.  You will have to check out the step by step directions click here...since they work well and it was created my b.b.e (before blog era).

I searched Goodwill for old globes....it was surprisingly easy.  Then Michaels for the rest of the supplies.
Finding things to put on the globe is the best part.

 Made it Monday Doorstops

Posting two days in a row....I can't even believe it.  And it is crafty, so I can link up with Monday Made it!
My classroom door doesn't stay open without a door stop.  Currently, I have a hideous wooden thing pretending to be a doorstop.  So I decided I needed a new doorstop.  I started with a tutorial I found online.  On a side note, one of my charming students likes to hide it whenever he gets mad at me, or someone in the class.
Then I went to the fabric store and found material...like the kind you use for picnic table cloths.  Our floors get SUPER dirty and I wanted to easily wipe off dust/dirt.  I followed most of the directions, but instead of filling with sand (I am not confident enough in my sewing skills to use sand and believe it wouldn't end up everywhere:-)  So the bottom is triangle like.  Then I filled the bag with decorative rocks.  You could find them outside or at the dollar tree, which is where I found them.  I zig-zagged stitched a complimentary strip across the top
Then I attached a bow onto a button and hot glued the buttons onto the front of the bag.
I made one for each of my grade level team.  Hopefully they love them as much as I do!

 Made it Monday

Finally getting to participate in Monday Made It!  I love love when I find a pin on Pinterest, and then actually do it!  Have you seen this cuteness?  Click the picture for more info.
Here is how I did mine.
Spray Paint a board and clothespins
I used adhesive polka-dots
Cut scrapbook paper in two different sizes and added stickers for the lettering.

I couldn't find my tiny hole punch, so used a push pin to make the holes
Then I cut out two "chickadees" and strung the words between them.  I hot glued the clothespins onto the board and can't wait to take it to school!
Also, I finally finished the famous, "teacher toolbox".  Google it....you'll find all kinds of versions and how-tos.
Can you tell what my favorite color might be:-)
Happy Monday,
