I reread The Book Whisperer every summer. Such an inspiring book! :)KateEduKate and Inspire
Laurie...I feel the same way about the mornings. We come in, do our jobs, say good morning to me (and the fish) and grab a book. I really do love it. It gives me a chance to connect with anyone I need to and get us all ready to start the day. I LOVE the Book Whisperer and now am a bit of a Donalyn stalker!Lori @Bee the ChangeMrs. Faas’ First Grade
I loved The Book Whisperer:) It really changed my thinking about teaching reading.
It is a great book. I keep a box of books at each of my student tables and several of my owlets are constantly reading...I have to frequently tell them to put their books away and "look at the speaker!"Jenny

Yep, mornings are not for morning work. If my principal left morning work on my desk every day that I had to accomplish first thing when I walked into my room, I probably wouldn't want to show up. :)❀ TammyForever in First
That book changed my view of morning work as well! :) I love seeing the kids choose the books they want to read and just get comfortable! NotJustChild'sPlay
