June Currently....1/2 a Month Late

I am SO close to last day!  But here is this month's Currently that was not what I should have been working on.
Listening:  REPEATEDLY to the Newsies Musical soundtrack.  It is amazing...and I hate to say it, but I like it better than the original version....sorry Christian
Loving:  The Tony Awards are always so entertaining!  AND I will be in New York in less than a month to see some of these shows LIVE!
Thinking: My class was incredibly difficult this year....emotionally disturbed is a diagnosis I am just not sure how prepared I was/am to deal with.  That being said, I am so sad to see them go and so glad I am teaching a straight 3rd next year, so I get a mulligan with half of them.
The referral, minor alert, and daily check-in paper file (this is only Sep-Dec)
Wanting:  Mary Poppins to snap her fingers and have my report cards and comments magically done!
Needing:  To get my "to read" stack ready....three more days and I begin the book-a-day challenge.
Vacaying:  Noook-I read so fast that I could fill a suitcase just with books, so my Nook really cuts down on the packing issues.  That is all I got....traveling is not something I do enough to have favs!
And a bonus pic of my soon to be new housemate-
You know the drill....go check out more June happenings with Farley.
Happy Monday,

  1. I was just reading your currently and I am watching Newsies right now. We were talking at lunch today about getting tickets to a Broadway show this summer (I live in MA and I love NYC) and it made me crave Newsies! :o)

  3. A Book a Day Challenge? That sounds difficult but really fun. I'm super excited to begin reading for fun this summer as well!

  6. I like the idea of a book a day but I don't know if I could pull it off with all the organizing and creating I want to do this summer! Any education books you plan on reading? I have 6 to read for my master's and then a couple others I want to read, plus non-education books too. I think summer should be longer so teachers can read more and create more! :-) Happy Reading!

  7. What kind of books do you like? I'm looking for a book friend! I had one except she had her 2nd baby so she hasn't been reading lately. I love the Bungalow by Sarah Jio if you haven't read it already.

  9. Awww-your new housemate is just precious! :) I also really envy that you can read a book-a-day. I'm lucky if I get through one per week-but I am reading much more now! I finished 3 from my summer reading list already! :)

  10. First off, I LOVE the Newsies soundtrack! Such an amazing musical! As for what your thinking, I am on the same page as you! I just completed my first year of teaching and having the summer off has been pretty boring! Finally, I was inspired to create my own Currently Post for my blog.

    Thanks for sharing!
