Send Off

When I was an elementary student, I didn't stay at the same school from K-6, we moved during my 2nd grade year.  At my new school, during the last assembly the principal acknowledged the students who had been there since kindy.  I was always a little bummed knowing I wouldn't be able to be one of those kids.  Silly...I know, but I am the same way with a need for perfect attendance:-)

Anyway I wanted to do something for my former chickadees who made it to 5th grade.  (Even if they didn't start their Sunnyside timeline in kindergarten)  So I write them a short letter with a copy of their cute little first or second grade class photo.  It is always kind of fun to write, because each class is always so different from year to year.

This is the letter I wrote last year.  It was difficult to write because I LOVED this group of Chickadees!  They were loved as 1st graders, but then I got to loop up to 2nd with them and I loved them for a whole new year!

 Happy Sunday,
